Was your fastest lap
your ultimate lap?

Slipstream is your Driver coach and Race engineer. It compares your data across sessions no matter which logger recorded them — MyChron against Alfano, or one session against another — and finds where the time was. Somewhere in that session you took Turn 3 better than you managed on your quickest lap. Slipstream finds the pace you have already proved you have — and turns it into the next thing you work on.

What it answers

The questions you ask in the awning.
Answered with your own data.

What did I do differently on the lap that worked?
“Braked earlier and more gently; carried 0.8 km/h more mid corner.”
Where is Lando beating me, and what is he doing there?
“T8 — he carries 6.3 km/h more through the middle and leaves 3.2 km/h faster, and gains 0.098 s on you there.”
How do the two of us actually drive differently?
“Max brakes hardest, at 3 of the 3 corners that separated them — and is still 0.06 s slower there. They brake at the same point as each other.”
Did that gearing change do anything?
“2 teeth taller bought 4.1 km/h of top end and gave up 0.55 s getting off the slow corners. Qualifying, keep it. In the pack, put it back.”
What should I leave alone?
“Protect T7, T13–T18. You were quickest through 2 sections of this lap. Whatever you change, do not change these.”

Not a theoretical lap

THIS IS NOT A THEORETICAL LAP
Best sectors added up is a number nobody can drive.

A theoretical lap that blindly stacks your quickest sectors is nonsense. Slipstream tracks the telemetry you actually drove, and only joins traces that are physically possible.

What comes back

A driver coach and a race engineer.
Both of them reading your data.

Your coach

T8 — 0.17 s quicker on lap 6

What happened
Your best lap took 5.38 s through T8. On lap 6 you took 5.22 s.
What you did differently
Braked earlier and more gently; left 3.7 km/h faster.
How you will know
Four laps on T8 and nothing else. 5.22 s or quicker on two of them — you have done it once, so this is a repeat rather than a reach.

Your race engineer

The gearing went 2 teeth taller — here is what it did

What it bought
Sustained top went 90.8 to 94.9 km/h.
What it cost
0.55 s getting off the slow corners. Measured by road speed — 50–60 km/h alone was 0.42 s.
What to do next
Qualifying or a clear track, keep it. Racing in the pack, put the teeth back — that is where you bog and lose the run.

Read the complete debrief A real session, real numbers — only the drivers’ names have been changed.

How it starts

Upload the session. Read the debrief.

  1. 1

Download the session off your MyChron or Alfano and upload it to Slipstream. Choose the sessions you want to compare and generate the report.

  2. 2

Slipstream reads every corner of your session, compares it to others, and generates a detailed debrief.

  3. 3

The driver coach gives you one thing to work on, the evidence behind it, and a way to know whether it worked.

How it works

Download, upload, and compare.

  1. 1

    Upload the session

Download the session off your Alfano or MyChron using your standard app, export it and upload to Slipstream to compare sessions. You can compare Alfano to MyChron data in one comparison, or setup changes between sessions to see the real difference.

  2. 2

    Your data stays yours

Sessions are secure and private by default. What you upload never leaves your account unless you choose to share it, it is not pooled or sold, and you can delete a session and its reports at any time.

  3. 3

Marketplace - Earn credits off your data

Once a session is uploaded, you can list it, and another member spends credits to compare their laps against yours — so you earn credits back. They never receive your raw file or your setup sheet, and you never receive theirs. Nothing is listed until you list it.
